
Recruitment Services – US IT Staff Augmentation Services
Objectives:
FogHorn Consulting - US will provide recruiting services to preferred vendors and major software services firms in the US in an effective (i.e. high strike rates), efficient (timely responses) and cost effective manner, by leveraging on its capabilities out of India and augmenting the same with a sales presence in the USA .

The US economy is on a rebound and companies are now actively looking at increasing their staff strengths. Typical of a recovery period, the uptake impact is first felt in the sub-contracting / temporary worker segment and subsequent in Full Time employees. There are 1575 software companies in the Tri State area that are members of state technology councils. Assuming 1 out of every two companies takes membership. The total number of players in
the software services market would be 3000. These would include both third party consulting firms (90%) as well as “preferred vendors” (10%).
FogHorn Consulting – US target customer segment in phase 1 would be the preferred vendors. Specifically it would be those preferred vendors that do not have an India presence.
In Phase 2 we will target Fortune 500 companies to facilitate in FTE placements only.
The market size assuming that each of the 300 preferred vendors place 10 resources a month is 3000 placements a month in the Tri-State area alone.

FogHorn Consulting Inc US is to be a wholly owned subsidiary of FogHorn Consulting Private Limited. India would provide the back end recruiting support to the US operation. Individuals from both the US and India operations have developed significant expertise in this industry and enjoy strong relationships in the industry. The teams also enjoy a long history of working together in
challenging situations in the past and there is a high level of synergy and a healthy rapport between the two entities.

Methodology:
Each customer will be provided with a recruiter plus technical interviewer package. This will be based on either a specific technology or a group of similar technologies. The customer can choose to occupy this team completely or partly.
The off-shore recruiters would report into their US supervising recruiter and will function as per day to day instructions and tasks given. The difference in time zone will be used to common advantage as the offshore team can pick up from where the US recruiters leave their days work. They will also be able to speak
with candidates when they are at home and thereby conduct immediate technical screening.
Once the candidate is validated and agrees in principal to the terms set forth by the end client, the US (vendor) recruiting team can take over and coordinate the closing procedures.
Long Term View:
The ultimate objective is taking this concept outside of the software services industry to industries such as pharmaceuticals, financial services, textiles, and biotechnology. This would require the building of domain expertise.
